- 3/4 cup water
- 2 white tea bags
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
- 2 tablespoons honey + more for rim
- 1 large or 2 small grapefruit, ideally organic
- a palmful fine grain sea salt
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 1 can grapefruit sparkling water
Instructions
- Boil the water and add the tea bags. Steep for 2 minutes, then remove and squeeze out bags. Stir in turmeric and honey and put it in the fridge to cool.
- Zest the grapefruit onto a plate. Mix it with a palmful of salt— really rub it together to distribute the oils in the zest.
- Drizzle more honey on a plate and roll rim of a glass in it. Use your finger to spread a thin layer down the top half of the outer glass. Roll the glass into the grapefruit salt mixture.
- Juice grapefruit into to a large jar, Add 1 cup of grapefruit juice, apple cider vinegar, and the tea mixture. Add ice and shake.
- Add ice to glasses. Add the tea/juice mixture until about 3/4 of the way full. Top it with sparkling water.
